Required Skills for this Role

The Software Developer should be capable of debugging, fixing, testing and writing new code on the following languages:

  • C# and SQL;
  • HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.

Also, we need to be able to fluently communicate with you in Portuguese and English, so speaking and writing in these languages. Having good communication skills is important because you’ll be joining a team.

Typical work activities and responsibilities of the Software Developer

Responsibilities and tasks vary from project to project, but overall the Software Developer may typically be involved in:

  • designing software development strategies, procedures and methods;
  • planarchitectdevelop and implement software;

iOS, Android and Windows Mobile Apps Developer

Our Product Group team is growing and we’re hiring for our Lisbon, Portugal office.

The Mobile App Developer is responsible for participating in the brainstorming process to identify the best user experience and user story, correctly plan and technically implement mobile application development by writing high performing source code, while coping with environmental adversities by using concepts like lazy loading and other UX workarounds to implement the desired client-side user experience and how the application looks, behaves and works.

This person job is to work solo or in team to develop competitive and performant code and visual elements that provides quality with the best modern user experience – contributing with wit, craftsmanship, design and engineering skills to augment and continuously evolve our SMART GOVERNANCE.

Skills and know-how requirements

  • Proficient competencies in developing native mobile applications (iOS, Android, Windows)
  • Good understanding of the Xamarin Platform (Ionic and other platforms are a plus)
  • Very good understanding of C#, T-SQL
  • Good understanding of how to implement online and offline scenarios
  • Good understanding of Schema less databases
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Good understanding of AngularJS, KnockoutJS and ReactJS
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT and Team Foundation Services
  • Fair understanding of Microsoft cloud offering (Azure, Office 365)

The Mobile Apps Developer should also be able to communicate on the following languages:
